How do you explain Singapore Culture

Singapore culture is based on face. You give me face. I give you face. The boy didn’t give the Sultan face because he proposed a solution and got the credit for it while the Sultan was still on the throne, i.e. still the boss. So the Sultan gets mad and doesn’t give the boy face i.e. murder the boy. If the boy had done it through the proper channels, he probably wouldn’t have ended up having his blood paint the hill, and I wouldn’t be writing this frustrating essay.
